Keeping a hand on his chest, he kept his teeth clenched as he still tried to catch his breath. He still didn’t understand why he had to go and do that. It didn’t make any sense, and all it did was just piss him off. “I’ll question them now, normally I wouldn’t. Damn it…”

Spitfire put a finger to his chin and pretended to be deep in thought. He furrowed his brows. “Hmm, you don’t sound so sure, shall I kick you again?” He smiled mischievously at his future successor.

“Must be nice to live so freely.” Sora commented, smirking at his companion. “But you should probably go see Makigami sometime soon. She’s been harping at me since you left- like I would know what your frivolous ass gets up to when she ain’t around.”

Spitfire blinked at Sora. “Hmm? I guess I should visit her…” he said with bored interest. “Oh and Sora, I saw Rika the other day, I’m glad to see you two are on good terms again.” He chuckled.

the-sky-king:

“S’pose you could say that. What are you doing these days? I mean, besides your successor, of course.”

Spitfire chuckled. “Always been the joker haven’t you…” He sighed and put his hands in pockets. “Just been around, traveling.”

Feeling the foot connect with his chest, Kazu gasped out all air leaving his lungs. Buckling forward he gripped tightly at his chest, huffing as he tried to catch his breath. Using his free arm to catch himself from falling onto the ground, he kept his pained eyes off the other.

“D-Damn it…what the hell was that for?!”

“Hmph. Do not question my methods Kazu.” he said, lifting his head and shaking his crimson hair. He opened an eye and looked at Kazu. “Good to see you have another expression on your face now.”

introverted-flames:

“…Well no. Why would I? Not like it would make a big difference.” Following behind Spitfire, Kazu landed on the roof, hanging back away from him. Glancing to the opposite direction of him he just over looked the city below. “Curious? No. They wouldn’t tell me much anyways, you know how Ikki is. Always see’s everyone as less than him.”

Spitfire sighed and slowly walked to Kazu, making sure he wasn’t watching.

BAM! Spitfire had just kicked him dead-on his chest.

“Stop looking down on yourself you fool!”

She wasn’t expecting that question, certainly not from Spitfire. Rika didn’t quite understand his interest, but still proceeded to answer.

“I would say so, yes. It’s definitely better now than it was a while ago, if that’s what you wanted to know. It did take a while to get back like this, though.” she would have added that it was much like during the start of their relationship, but she figured he wouldn’t be able to understand.

“It truly has been a long time since then. Have you been in touch with any of the others?”

Spitfire chuckled quietly and inclined his head. “That’s good, you guys will make beautiful children~” he added, laughing out loud this time.

“I haven’t really been in touch with the others, I’ve been out traveling.” he sighed, nostalgia creeping in his mind.

introverted-flames:

Hoping up after Spitfire, he had no problem keeping up but there was still no flame behind his run. It was just basic and lifeless. Pouting his lips he shrugged again.

“If two people believe it, then it must have some truth. Don’t you think?”

Watching Spitfire move on, Kazu stopped before placing his hand on his head. What would Ikki and the others think? Heh. He’d never actually ask them something like that.

“No. Why would I ask them? Doesn’t matter anyways.”

“Ah have you counted how many people believe the opposite of your ‘truth’?” he jumped on the roof of a supermarket, scaring off a few birds. “Are you not curious about what your teammates think?” he asked, dusting off his jacket.

introverted-flames:

Stumbling slightly at the push, he glanced over at Spitfire as he tried to figure out why the hell he was trying to prove. That confusion shifted to a narrowed glare. “That isn’t what I meant!”

Pouting his lips he watched in awe as Spit just carelessly grinded down the rail. It’s not that Kazu couldn’t that, but everything Spitfire did just seemed so free, like he had no care in the world. Pulling his beanie down a bit, he slowly rolled against the ground, going to catch up with him.

“…I still think you picked the wrong person.”

Spitfire merely chuckled to himself and jumped over on to the next rule, motioning to Kazu to follow him.

“It seems you and Baby Shark are the only ones that think that Kazu~”

He laughed and jumped onto the top of the light pole nearby. “Have you asked Ikki and the others how they feel about you becoming Flame King?” he yelled to Kazu down below.
